My OpenClaw Experiments

My OpenClaw Experiments

I’ve been deep in the OpenClaw trenches. Here’s the reality of giving your computer “eyes and hands” without melting your hardware or your bank account. 1. Why are folks buying a Mac Mini for cloud APIs? On a a related note, how long can I keep a node process running on my MacBook before it melts 😆 2. My god, AI APIs are expensive. Proprietary vision APIs are a money pit. I’m waiting for the pivot to a competent open-source model like Qwen2.5-VL that I can run locally. 3. OpenClaw is a cool experiment until the free credits vanish. To make it a killer, we need an enterprise-grade security layer. Nobody is giving an agent “eyes and hands” access to payments except a reckless idiot 😅 The pipeline is the bottleneck. Vision, eyes, hands, and brains need to be faster. We don’t need “smarter” models; we need hyper-efficient models fine-tuned specifically for tool calling. Latency is the only thing killing the vibe.
